A new chapter at the Boys & Girls Club.

This year, the Club celebrates its 80th year of operation and some exciting organizational changes. On May 1, 2024, the Boys & Girls Club will welcome Kristin Hanna into the position of executive director as Brian Flemming, the outgoing CEO, moves into the role of Senior Advisor.

“Kristin has earned the role of CEO,” Brian remarked. “She has the vision and dedication to lead the Club in its next chapter, and I am excited to see the great work that is ahead.” With nearly a decade of experience at the Boys & Girls Club, Kristin has held various roles, from programming to fundraising. Kristin shared: "I've seen firsthand the importance of our programs for the children we serve, the hard-working families we partner with, and our region. The Club has done incredible work over the last 80 years, and I am honored to work alongside our community to continue and build upon this good work.”

This transition marks an exciting point of growth as Brian Flemming will move into a Senior Advisor role. After successfully leading and strengthening the Club for 15 years, Brian will now utilize his expertise and passion to spearhead a campaign for a new workforce development campus for our teens. This campus will focus on equipping the workforce and youth of tomorrow by offering an engaging environment to learn work skills in areas such as carpentry, welding, and healthcare, as well as vital life skills such as personal finance, cooking, communication, and character.

When asked about the new Workforce Development project, Brain stated, “There is an important opportunity before us to equip our teens for success after the Club. I am ready to focus my efforts on this important project, not just for our teens, but for our entire community.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Valdosta is built on the belief that one of the greatest investments that can be made is one in the next generation. Their mission, to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens, will remain the center as they move into the future. Be sure to follow along on the Club’s newsletters and socials to stay up to date on all that is to come.
